Trust's DVDs show nature highlights

Falcons and water voles are featured in two DVDs released by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

The Peregrines of Derby Cathedral, a DVD documentary by Jasper Films priced at 9.99, tells the story of the peregrine falcons which have nested on the cathedral tower since 2006. The film follows last year's chicks from eggs to fledging.

The UK's fastest declining mammal, the water vole, features in another DVD, The Water Voles of Bradwell Brook, by young film maker Paul Nicols.

This chronicles a year in the life of these creatures that have made their home in a Peak District stream. Priced at 5.50, the DVD also features rare footage of other species such as harvest mice.

The Trust's online shop, buy.at, is a portal to a host of retailers, including John Lewis, Amazon and Game. Each of the retailers donates a percentage of the proceeds to the Trust.

The shop can be accessed by going to buy.at/derbyshirewildlife or direct from the Trust's website, www.derbyshirewildlifetrust.org.uk.

Publications include Walk off the Christmas pounds with a choice of 16 walks on and around Trust nature reserves, and Fran Hill's practical guide, Wildlife Gardening.
