Waterbabies swim in memory of local woman

WATERBABIES of all ages who took part in a third sponsored swim have added to the grand total raised for Cancer Research.

William Bingham arranged the event at Kimberley Leisure Centre in memory of Judith Bingham, nee Hopkin, who died in August 2005, aged 58.

He was joined by his brother Edward and dad Brian and various supporters who swam between 60 and 120 lengths. Previous fundraisers have each raised more than 1,000.

Mrs Bingham was well known in the Eastwood Guide movement and was head girl at Eastwood School. She was also a hairdresser at John Lewis for 16 years.
