Eastwood Branch of the Royal British Legion raised a mammoth £15,433.28 for the Poppy Appeal in Eastwood through collections at Ikea, Morrisons and B&Q, together with street collections by Ivan Dunstan, Maria Kirk and the Eastwood Army Cadets, plus collecting tins in 60 premises in the area.

The winner of the Rodney Todd Memorial Cup, which is given to the school which raised the most money for the Poppy Appeal per pupil, was Lynncroft.

Pupils will be presented with the trophy in January.
