A Selston teenager has reached the final seven in Nottinghamshire ’s 4Uth awards.
Eddie Lowe volunteers at a youth club in Selston every night and was called a ‘fantastic role model’ by youth worker Kate Pishdar who nominated him.
The competition asked for entries from people who did good work in the community, and 56 names were put forward.
Eddie, who used to have very low self-esteem, now teaches DJ skills at the Selston’s Base 16 centre, where he has volunteered every night since last year.
Kate said: “He is a fantastic role model and is popular with the young people.”
The winner will be announced on September 28.
