The Kimberley School is holding two open events for prospective parents.
The first is an open evening on Friday September 25, followed by an open morning on Monday September 28.
The school has recently been celebrating excellent exam results with the GCSE A* - C grades, including English and maths, improving by eight per cent. Overall the school’s A*-C grades stood at 70 per cent with 18 per cent of all GCSE grades at either A* or A grades.
In the A-level exams, students achieved a 99 per cent pass rate and have been successful in attaining places at some of the top universities, including Nottingham, Leeds and Kent. All A Level students who wanted a place at university, or who wanted apprenticeships, were successful with students studying degrees in Biomedical Science, Law, Accounting, Art, Theatre in Education and Psychology.
The school’s priority is to create a safe environment, where young people are challenged and supported to achieve the very best that they can.
The quality of learning at The Kimberley School is demonstrated through the exam results, but it is also demonstrated by the parents’/carers’ opinions about the school.
In 2015, over 94 per cent of those surveyed said that they think their child makes good progress with the school and almost 97 per cent feel that their child is well looked after at The Kimberley School.
There is also a strong transition process for Year 6 students, which focuses on helping all students to make new friends before they officially join in September. As well as induction days in July, there area after school induction clubs in June, which really support students in becoming familiar with the school and are structured so that making new friends becomes easy.
