Family fun on offer at annual festival

Underwood Festival
Underwood Festival

The annual Underwood Festival will take place on July 9.

Held at the Freizland Recreation Ground in Church Lane, there will be a host of fun activities between 1pm and 8pm.

As well as plenty of stalls to browse, there will be a dog show, a mini football tournament, Peter Presto’s magic show, a collection of classic cars, Zoe’s party animals, inflatable slides and bouncy castle, a bar and several bands performing live on stage.

This year there will also be a charity church abseil.

Organisers are inviting people to abseil 40ft down St Michael’s Church to raise money for Diabetis UK.

Local girl Amelia Haslam discovered she had type two diabetis back in 2009 and the community has been trying to raise money where possible ever since.

If anyone would like to have a stall or enter a dog or a classic car in the show please get in touch on facebook or text 07976764439 or email cllr.david.martin@nottscc.gov.uk.
