A BANK worker in Eastwood has retired after 33 years in the job.

Lynda Turner started work at HSBC in Kimberley in 1979, and transferred to the Eastwood branch when Kimberley closed in 1992, where she has been ever since.

Manager Maxine Husselbee said: “She was very well known among customers. People would come in and ask specifically to see just her because they had dealt with her for so many years.”

Staff past and present went for a meal at the Horse and Groom pub in Moorgreen to wish Lynda well.

The 63-year-old, who wants to spend more time with family, said: “I will miss everyone. I’ve made some great friends.”
