Fine for jewellers

A JEWELLERY company has been prosecuted and fined for fly posting after displaying ‘cash for gold signs’ without consent.

Cresta Gems continued to display adverts at several sites in Ripley, Codnor and Langley Mill, advertising their cash for gold service on hard board adverts affixed to traffic signs and displayed on grass verges without permission.

Steven Brimble, representing Cresta Gems, pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined a total of £1,142 by Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
