Greasley Parish Council launched the first of many community fun days last Bank Holiday weekend.
The council held the first ever ‘Greasley Gathering’ event on the back of the success of the local Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Councillors say it was an ‘enormous success’ and hope to make it an annual event.
There was a walk starting at the Beauvale Priory, a clown and magician for the kids, craft lessons, a falconry display, and a red London tour bus to take people between the local pubs which were hosting a variety of festivals, concerts and barbecues.
Most of the activities were held at the Greasley Sports Centre.
