The first farmers market of the year will be held in Kimberley this weekend.
There will be all the usual stalls at Toll Bar Square this Saturday, January 7, between 9am and 1pm.
Market traders will be selling locally-grown organic fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, curry sauces and samosas, free range eggs, pastries, homemade preserves, handmade soaps and greetings cards.
There will also be the usual wildlife stall selling birdfeed.
Kimberley councillor Richard Robinson said: “The market is great to bring people together in the town, and it helps people to get to know one and other.
“It not only fosters community spirit but it also supports local business and encourages people to shop more in Kimberley.”
