The spirit of friendship and camaraderie shone through at Thomas Forman Printers’ annual reunion dinner.

More than 50 employees and their guests attended the event, which was co-ordinated by Howard Parker who helped to set up the Thomas Forman Preservation Society in 2001 following the demise of the firm a year earlier.

In its heyday, the former printing works on Hucknall Road employed more than 1,000 people.

Tom Bailey, from Nuthall, a hot metal compositor for 16 years, said: “There was never a dull moment and many friendships were established in my time.”

Anyone interested in joining the society should call 0115 877 0875 for details.
