A CHARITY fun day at Sainsbury’s in Kimberley raised £800 at the weekend.
The supermarket was raising money for its chosen charity of the year, the Ryan Lee Trust Fund, and last Saturday was the first big event.
There was a tombola, face painting and a fire engine for the kids to have a look around.
Store worker Angie Sheldon said: “It was brilliant. Everything was really successful – we sold all the tombola tickets and all the cake went.”
The Ryan Lee Trust was set up by Debbie Lee after her son Ryan died of a brain tumour last year.
Ms Lee, who lives in Eastwood, raises money to pay for specialist equipment so children with serious illnesses can stay living at home.
