A 5k fun run held in Awsworth for the second time saw more than double the amount of people take part compared to last year. The race, which started and ended at Awsworth Primary School on The Lane, saw around 350 take part to raise money for Mencap.
Head teacher Jane Mainprize said: “It was a fantastic event and we had a great turnout with 350 people taking part, ranging in age from three to 80. The weather held out and everybody who started out succeeded.
“There were lots of smiling faces, it was an absolutely great event and something we hope will be part of the Awsworth community from now on.”
