Organisers of the Greasley Gathering have been given a triple funding boost ahead of the popular community event which takes place on Monday, May 2.

Committee representatives Paul Tordoff, chairman, and Rita Pickering, secretary, accepted cheques for the sums of £1,000 each from Broxtowe Borough Council and Greasley Parish Council while Notts County Councillor, Philip Owen, donated a cheque for £250 from his Divisional Fund which helps local groups and organisations.

The Greasley Gathering is based at the Greasley Sports and Community Centre in Newthorpe from 10am to 3pm and red London buses will be taking visitors to events throughout the area.
