A GROUP of fundraising regulars at the Great Northern pub on Derby Road, Langley Mill, gather ahead of a sponsored walk up Mount Snowdon.

The friends have been working hard, raising more than £1,300 through a raffle and an auction to help four-year-old Daniel Harrison who suffered from acid reflux in early life. It now prevents him from eating solid food but the team are aiming to send him to a specialist hospital in Graz, Austria, in hope of a cure. They are climbing Snowdon in Wales on March 19 to increase the total.

Angela Asquith, 36, who works with the boy’s mother said: “It would be great if any small businesses could sponsor us by heading to www.helpdan.org.”
