A GARDEN party is being held at Wellington Court in Eastwood this weekend.
The party is being held at the sheltered housing scheme to show off the hard work the tenants have done in the gardens and to raise some money for trips out.
Eastwood Mayor Ken Woodhead will be opening the event this Saturday, which kicks off at 12noon.
There will be a tombola, barbecue, air ambulance stall, cake stall and much more.
Barbara Marriott, the scheme manager, said: “It’s about making some money for the tenants and letting people know that we are here.
“It’s a lovely garden that they have all worked on and I’m so proud of them.
“I said it’s such a shame that no-one has seen it, so this will give us the ideal opportunity to show it off.”
