A gymathon which saw participants endure 12 hours of exercise raised more than £1,200 for Cancer Research UK last weekend.

The event at the Greasley Sports Centre saw organiser Maxine Bates and her team of fundraisers tackle 30-minute stints on a bike, a rower and a cross-trainer to keep them in constant motion from 9am to 9pm on Saturday November 1.

The money will go to Cancer Research UK - the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research.
