KIMBERLEY’S Sainsbury’s supermarket has been granted planning permission for an extension.
The store in Greens Lane had its proposal given conditional permission by Broxtowe Borough Council last week.
The extension is believed to be for an electrical department and a clothing range .
As part of the application the number of car parking spaces will be reduced from 383 to 284 and the access to the site will be changed for vehicles and pedestrians.
Under the plans, bosses are hoping to create 15 extra full time jobs and 25 extra part-time positions at the Kimberley store.
The retail giant now has three years to complete the work before the application lapses.
