Police are linking two incidents where panel vans have been broken in Nuthall on the same night.

Thieves stole power tools and bank cards from a van in Maple Drive on October 22.

The bank cards were then found next to a white panel van in Albert Avenue, which was broken into on the same night.

Police said they got into both vans by ‘unknown means’, leaving no trace of forced entry.

Some tools were left dumped in the front garden after the incident in Maple Drive

The owners of the van in Albert Avenue had their garage broken into on the same night. They are still unsure what was taken from the van and garage.

PCSO Neil Reddish said: “It was highly likely to have been the same offenders.”
