INVALUABLE lessons have been learned by more than 40 pupils who recently graduated from a drugs awareness course.

The year six pupils at Hempshill Hall Primary School in Nuthall graduated from the 10 week DARE – Drug Abuse Resistance Education – course, run by ex-cop Kathy Cross.

Teachers at the school supported Mrs Cross in the lessons, which taught the children to say no to drink and drugs.

Mrs Cross and headteacher Helen Ridge presented the pupils with their certificates.
