Lawrence artifacts on TV

Television expert David Dickinson will cast his eye over original artwork, novels and other items belonging to Eastwood-born writer DH Lawrence.

Dickinson’s Real Deal, broadcast on ITV1 on Monday December 10 at 3pm, will feature an original Lawrence coal carving and painting, a first edition of his Lady Chatterley’s Lover novel, photographs and pocket watches belonging to the writer.

The items will feature alongside an interview with the presenter and Elizabeth Moran, Museum and Collections Officer at Eastwood’s DH Lawrence Heritage, to discuss Lawrence’s family, as well as the scandal surrounding the writer and his work.

The show will also feature other interesting items from the show’s visit to Nottingham earlier this year, including a Henry Moore lithograph and Donald Campbell’s helmet.
