As part of the Eastwood Arts Festival, a family day was held on Wednesday August 6 where children were invited to dress up as pirates and princesses.
The fun-filled day included digging for buried treasure, a bouncy castle and there was even a parrot display to fit with the pirate theme.
An adventure trail was held for the little pirates and princesses where they were challenged to find pictures of pirates and princesses around the grounds of the D.H Lawrence Heritage Centre to win a prize.
More than 100 people took part.

The next Arts Festival event will be a circus fun day on Wednesday August 13.
All ages are welcome to learn the thrills of the circus from juggling to spinning plates, space hoppers and unicycles.
The event will take place at at the D.H Lawrence Heritage Centre on Mansfield Road from 11am- to 3pm and costs £3.50 per child.
