As part of the Eastwood Arts Festival, a family day was held on Wednesday August 6 where children were invited to dress up as pirates and princesses.

The fun-filled day included digging for buried treasure, a bouncy castle and there was even a parrot display to fit with the pirate theme.

An adventure trail was held for the little pirates and princesses where they were challenged to find pictures of pirates and princesses around the grounds of the D.H Lawrence Heritage Centre to win a prize.

More than 100 people took part.
