Police are appealing for more people in Brinsley to volunteer to become speed gun operators.

Volunteers will be trained to use a speed gun and note down the details of speeding motorists.

Police will follow these people up by sending letters to the registered keepers of offending vehicles asking for their assistance in keeping speeds down in your community, with persistent offenders targeted by police for enforcement.

Volunteers must be over 18 years old.
