Boozer had to be restrained at King's MIll

A Mansfield man was so drunk he had to be restrained on a bed by security guards at King's Mill Hospital, a court has heard.

Wayne Hunt, 47, of Westfield Lane, admitted being drunk and disorderly on June 10, when he appeared before Mansfield magistrates.

Ruth Snoddin said: “Police officers saw the defendant lying on a hospital bed restrained by security staff and swearing in front of other patients.

“His eyes were glazed and rolling and he smelled of alcohol. His trousers were soaked with urine.”

The court heard he had a previous conviction for drunk and disorderly in 2000.

Hunt, who represented himself, told the court: “It is out of character for me. I haven’t been in trouble for quite a while.”

He was fined £40 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.
