A Bulwell drug dealer has been jailed for three years by a Nottingham Court.
Christian Tashan McKenzie, of Hemsby Gardens, was convicted of supplying cocaine and diamorphine, possession with intent to supply Crack Cocaine and diamorphine, possession and production of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 21-year-old was jailed on Tuesday after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
At about 1.20am on Monday 17th February, uniformed officers were on patrol in Bath Street, St Ann’s, when they saw McKenzie. He smelt strongly of cannabis and so the officers carried out a stop and search.
Cannabis, cash, a knife and 29 wraps of Class A drugs were found in his possession.
McKenzie was arrested.A further search was then carried out at property linked to McKenzie. In a bedroom at the property officers found a Cannabis grow with nine mature plants. Mobile phone intelligence work provided detectives with evidence of drug dealing.
