Burglars tried to break in to a house in Nuthall while the residents were asleep in the front room.

The intruders climbed over a wall to get into the garden before using a brick to try and smash a glass pane on the garage door.

They were unsuccessful due to it being laminated, so tried to do the same to the rear utility room door, but again failed because the door had an inner pane.

The incident happened in Willesden Green on February 18 between 4.30pm and 6.45pm.

If you saw anything call police on 101.
