Councillor raises £890 for hospital

An Eastwood town councillor hosted a charity night and raised nearly £900 for one of the departments at Nottingham City Hospital.

Cllr Ken Woodhead had more than 200 people turn up to his charity night at Basford Miners’ Welfare and raised £890 for Linden Lodge, a department that helps people recover from serious injury.

He organised the event after his nephew, Tom Feetham, had a serious car crash last September and was helped with physiotherapy by staff at the lodge.

There was a buffet, dance and raffle.

Cllr Woodhead runs a club for divorced and separated people at the welfare.
