Fire crews were called to tackle a blaze in Eastwood in the early hours of this morning.

A crew from Eastwood and two fire engines from Stockhill answered a 999 call to attend Dovecote Road at 12.46am on Monday.

They tackled flames and put out the blaze which had started in a single-storey building, which Notts Fire and Rescue Service say had been used as a school.

Damage was contained to its roof.

A cause for the fire is not yet known.
