Dancing their way to success at Sharon Boyden School of Dance

Three rising young stars of a dance school run by Sharon Boyden from Watnall, were presented with cups, trophies and certificates during a Celebration of Achievement ceremony which took place at the John Godber Centre in Hucknall.

Hannah Capewell,14,from Hucknall, a pupil at Hucknall’s National Academy, was presented with top merit awards after successfully attaining the Gold Standard in Ballroom and Latin American dance.

Sian Catton,12, also from Hucknall, who is a student at Hucknall’s Holgate Academy, also made good progress during the past year and her efforts earned her trophies for Ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Bulwell’s Juli-Anna Kilbourne, 13, a student at Trinity School, showed her potential by earning Grade 1 certificates also in Ballroom and Latin dance categories.

Hannah, Sian and Juli-Anna were praised for their efforts and the positive progress that they have made during the past year.

“They have much to offer and their best is yet to come,” said dance principal Sharon Boyden.

Newcomers interested in joining the Sharon Boyden School of Dance are invited to attend sessions which take place on Fridays from 4.30pm in St Patrick’s Church Hall, Back Lane,Nuthall.
