Architects working on the new Wetherspoon pub in Eastwood have unveiled some of their design plans.
Richard Morgan from Witcomb Project Management Ltd said he will try to ‘retain the feel of the original building’.
This will involve recycling the existing doors as panelling, and exposing existing roof structures, he said.
The pub will be all on one level with booths at the back to create a ‘cosy dining experience’, whilst to the front, it will be ‘a good old fashioned pub atmosphere’.
The firm plans to infill the existing courtyard at the back of the building, and create a beer garden at the front, complete with smoking shelter.
