Time is running out to enter your much-loved animals into our top Pet of the Year competition.

The final photo shoot for the contest is at the Lawrence Veterinary Centre on Nottingham Road, Eastwood tomorrow (Saturday May 10) from 9am to 3 pm.

Already almost 100 pets have been snapped for the contest by John Booth or Ilkeston-based John Booth Photography.

There are brilliant prizes up for grabs in two categories — ‘cats and dogs’ and ‘out of the box and cage’.

A top three will be decided in each section with the winner scooping a £100 voucher from John Booth Photography, and a £50 voucher from Lawrence Veterinary Centre; second place getting £50 and £25 vouchers from the respective sponsors and third place a £20 and a £10 vouchers.

The top three will also scoop a canvas of the photo taken for the competition.

But we would love to see some more unusual pets to rival all the cats and dogs we have seen

All you need to do if you would like to enter your pet for the competition is fill in the coupon in this week’s Advertiser and pop along to the photo shoot.

Once all the photos are taken you, the readers, will choose the winners.

Make sure you don’t miss out on the last photo shoot.
