It’s all change at Eastwood Comprehensive School, which started the new term this week as an academy with a new name.

The Mansfield Road school has now become the Hall Park Academy, sponsored by the Redhill Academy Trust, featuring a new uniform and new logo.

Head teacher at the newly-formed Hall Park Academy, Stephanie Dyce, said that all the staff and governors are looking forward to the new era for the school.

She added: “It is an exciting time at the school and I speak on behalf of the staff and governors when I say how much we are all looking forward to this new era.

“As well as the new name and the new uniform, there is to be further investment in the fabric of the school building, including the refurbishment of the reception area and the reintroduction of a school library.

“It has certainly been a very busy first year for me, and I would like to thank the staff for all their hard work this year and to thank the students who have made me feel very welcome.”

As part of the change, the school will have a new uniform which the Department for Education is sponsoring for the first year, each pupil will be provided with their first new uniform.

The academy now has a new blue logo to go with it’s new status.

The new academy uniform can be purchased online from Just Schoolwear or from the firm’s store in Bulwell.

The academy will offer GCSEs, NVQs and BTECs, while students in the sixth form will have the option to study their A-levels.
