Eastwood will be packed with arts, crafts, entertainment and creativity next month as the 14th annual arts festival returns to the town.
A whole host of performances and workshops will be available as part of the creative event.
Organised in conjunction with Broxtowe Borough Council, this year’s festival has a packed programme including pottery, kite-making, storytelling and song-writing.
Highlights of this year’s event will be the annual dog fun day, a family fun day and a special performance of Treasure Island put on by the Rain or Shine Theatre Company.
The annual festival aims to give people of all ages the opportunity to take part in creative activity.
Councillor Brian Griffin, from Eastwood Town Council, used to help organise the festival. He said that it is fantastic community event.
He added: “The month of July is a wonderful month for the townsfolk of Eastwood.
“It may be the arts festival, but there really is something for absolutely everyone, it’s a fantastic opportunity to get involved in something.
“I’m a great enthusiast when it comes to this festival, people can dip in and dip out of what they want to do, you really can do all sorts.”
The event is organised by the borough council in conjunction with Eastwood Arts Festival Steering Group with support from Eastwood Town Council and the Co-operative Society.
Tickets are avaiable for the event at the Broxtowe customer service shop on Nottingham Road in Eastwood or by contacting the arts and events team on 0115 917 3695 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
