The event was officially opened at 11am by the High Sheriff of Derbyshire David Coleman.

Fair-goers were treated to attractions and numerous stalls,
including a host of games for children, quality white elephant items, a cake stall, a
tombola and raffles.

Organ-grinder Patrick Cooke performed
throughout the day, playing musical interludes with his fairground organ, said a spokesman.
