Events will take place in Eastwood and Kimbereley to celebrate Bonfire Night this weekend.
Eastwood Cricket Club and the Kimberley Scouts will host their popular annual events this Saturday night, usually attended by hundreds of people.
The event at the cricket club in Greenhills Road is promised to be ‘bigger and better than ever’ with more money being spent on fireworks.
It kicks off at 7.30pm, and the fireworks start at 7.45pm.
There will be a bar, a barbecue, a tuck shop for the kids and music to entertain the crowds.
The Scouts’ Bonfire Night in Kimberley will be held at Kettlebrook Lodge as always.
As well as a bonfire, there will be fireworks, hot food, a bar and a disco.
The event, starting at 7pm, is the Scout group’s main fundraiser of the year, and usually attracts about 600 people.
Scout group secretary Jane Maltby said: “The evening always has a community feel and is a night that’s enjoyed by everybody who comes.”
Eastwood costs £2, and accompanied children are free.
At Kimberley it’s £2.50 for adults, £1 for children and under fives are free.
