Garden opened in honour of partner

A green-fingered gran-of-five from Kimberley is set to open her garden to the public for charity — and to honour her late partner.

Doreen Fahey, 75, takes great pride in her garden at 7 Collygate, Swingate. But this was put on the backburner when her long-term partner, John Arkinstall, became ill and later died.

Now she will honour his memory by openingthe garden as part of The National Open Gardens scheme

Her garden will be open on Bank Holiday Monday (May 5)from 1pm to 5pm.

Entry costs £3 for adults and is free for children. Money raised will be go togood causes including Help the Hospices.
