The county’s leading healthcare provider has launched a six week feedback period to hear people’s views about its plans to change some of its mental health services for adults and older people.
The changes are in response to clinical evidence and patient feedback which showed that people want to be cared for in their own homes.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare’s proposals include a 24-hour Crisis and Home Treatment Service for adults, a Community Rehabilitation Team, and enhanced community services for older people.
This could reduce the demand for inpatient beds, and could potentially lead to the closure of that two adult mental health wards, A42 and A43 at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
