Improved test results

MORE children in Nottinghamshire are achieving the national standard in tests for 11-year-olds than a year ago.

Provisional results released by the Department for Education show that more pupils met the expected level in their Key Stage 2 exams.

81 per cent of 11-year-olds achieved the required level in both English and maths, compared to 77 per cent last year.

86 per cent of pupils achieved the expected level in English, up three per cent on last year, and 85 per cent of children reached it in maths, two per cent up on last year – the best maths figure since 2008.
