Mum-of-three Cheryl Jackson, of South Street, who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer just six weeks ago, enjoyed a memory party on Saturday night surrounded by family, friends and work colleagues.
The event at Langley Mill Welfare Club helped to raise over £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Care and the Maggie’s Centre at Nottingham City Hospital.
During the evening Cheryl’s husband had his long hair shaved off, and some of her male friends had their legs and underarms waxed - all for charity.
Cheryl said: “The evening turned out to be absolutely amazing, more than we could have imagined.
“Thankyou all for the precious memories which my family will hold dear.”
Cheryl would like to thank everyone involved with organising the party and for making it such a special evening.
