The Royal British Legion will host a poignant LIGHTS OUT ceremony in Eastwood on Monday (August 4) to mark 100 years, to the day, since Britain declared war on Germanty in World War One.

A short service begins at 10.45pm at the memorial on Plumptre Way.
It coincides with the national LIGHTS OUT event which has been organised by 14-18 NOW, which is inviting individuals, households and companies to turn off their lights from 10pm to 11pm on August 4, leaving on a single light or candle for a shared moment of reflection.
