In this week’s memory lane we feature more photos taken from a popular playscheme in Eastwood back in the mid 1990s.

The annual playscheme was for six to 11-year-olds and funded by Nottinghamshire County Council and Broxtowe Borough Council.

It lasted three weeks and there was always huge demand for places.

The toddlers were based at Lynncroft Primary School in Eastwood and the older children were based at the town’s Walker Street School site.

Pictured here are kids at Walker Street School showing salt dough models they had made with an ‘around the world’ theme.

The scheme catered for 300 children over the three week period.
