Kimberley Fish Bar on Eastwood Road has enjoyed a happy first anniversary of trading

It has been a long road to success for Kimberley businessman Paul Takhar and owner of Kimberley Fish Bar.

No stranger to a challenge, 55-year-old Paul, moved from his home in India in 1977 to follow his fortune in England and worked in a Foundry as a young teenager.

Paul has always strived hard to achieve success and after marrying his wife of 37-years ,Tina, the pair’s hard work has led them to become successful shop owners.

Paul and Tina, who have four daughters, have run their own Off-Licence and Grocery Store in Derby before taking on a new venture in 2012 by opening up Kimberley Fish Bar which is situated on the site of the former Kimberley Miners Welfare.

Paul said: “In the past year the business has flourished thanks largely to the efforts of a dedicated team of employees and wonderful support from our customers.”
