With reference to the article last week regarding Kimberley’s cemetery chapel.
Some time ago a group of tradesmen, all from Kimberley area, offered their labour free of charge to take out seating, remove old flooring, re-vent below floor level, before fitting new flooring and refixing the seating. But I understand they were told not to do any work because the council were having a survey done. Having seen the cost of the survey which, in my opinion, cost more than the materials would have cost to do the job, l can understand why Steve Brunt and so many locals are so upset. With being left for so long there is now even more damage to the chapel.
