An art exhibition held at The Wood Gallery in Eastwood featured local artists including paper sculptor Philip Cox, who created a life-sized model of a walker from cardboard and paper.

The Wood Gallery is normally full of Elaine Thompson’s wooden pictures and work but she opened the venue to give other artists a chance to show their work.

Two local painters were featured - Christine Dilks, who does oil paintings of landscapes, figures and still-lifes, and Lynda Walker who works in paints, pastels and had some particularly good prints of her drawings on display. Some of the exhibits will remain on show until next Friday (August 8).

Our photos show Elaine Thompson with her sculpture as well as Artish Malcolm Parnham with one of his works of Greasley Church that was on show.
