A former leader of Nuthall Youth Club travelled thousands of miles from her home in Australia for the club's reunion.
Nicola Wright, formerly Shelbourn, flew all the way from Perth in Western Australia for the get-together on September 5, which marked 30 years since the club was formed.
The anniversary was celebrated at the Temple Centre in Nuthall where the youth club was based.
The event was organised by past members Tom Bailey, Mike Bailey, Ian Foster, Hazel Searcy, Val Buxton and founding member Peter Jordan.
There was a hog roast, a film show of photographs picturing the club through the years, live singing and a prize draw which raised money for one of the past member's sons who suffers from muscular distrophy.
The event was sponsored by Eastwood Town Football Club chairman Rob Yong, president of Bulwell and Basford Rotary Club Bill Smith, Russell and Matthew O'Keefe, both ex-members who now own their own building and electrical firm in Giltbrook, and Cllr Phillip Owen, who represents Nuthall on Nottinghamshire County Council.
Nicola, a former pupil at Kimberley Comprehensive School, now lives in Perth with her husband and three children.
She joined the youth club when she was 12 years old and became leader a few years later. Nuthall Youth Club was closed down in 2003.
