Langley Mill’s festive decorations got a £2,000 boost from its McDonald’s restaurant after management presented a cheque to the parish council to add to its Christmas lights fund this year.

Franchisee at the Station Road eatery Ken Hair says the donation is a thank you to the community for its support.

Chairman of Langley Mill and Aldercar parish Council, Mick Fowkes, said: “This is a very welcome boost from McDonald’s, which will add to the redevelopment of Langley Mill. This money will help to light up the four main roads.”
