MEMORY LANE: home safe from World War One

Ambulance cadets

Ambulance cadets

This lucky group of young men are cadets of the Eastwood Ambulance Corps who returned home safely from World War One.

The photo is included in a booklet of war services between 1914 and 1918.

The massed ranks are photographed outside the group’s headquarters on ‘Wakes Sunday’ in 1920.
