The Lodge at Eastwood Hall

The Lodge at Eastwood Hall

Standing proud in this image is The Lodge at Eastwood Hall.

Situated on Cocker House Road it was once the home of Mr Meredith, chauffeur to the residents of Newthorpe Grange.

In the early 1900s, a building behind the lodge was used as a mortuary to cope with a fatal accident at a nearby colliery.
