A new book exploring Nottinghamshire’s military influence has invaded shelves.
Defending Nottinghamshire is the latest in a successful series of books that have covered the history of Britain’s protection strategies in conflict.
In the book, Dr Mike Osbourne, examines Nottinghamshire’s military heritage and landscape and its role in defending the nation. Nottinghamshire was a place of strategic importance during the early era of Roman conquest and during the struggles between the warring Saxon kingdoms and the Vikings.
The illustrated publication is available in many book stores and on iTunes.
