More arts festival action

Coronation Park

Coronation Park

The annual Eastwood Arts Festival is wrapping up its first full week of events and is busy preparing for a particularly dramatic week ahead.

This first week has seen a windsocks and kites workshop for kids, a willow weaving session, a poetry evening and a craft market for the residents of Eastwood and wider Broxtowe.

But it is this week where the festival gets into full swing with pottery classes, music and drama performances and a full family fun day.

Festival organiser Alex Kahn said that the week ahead promises to be very busy, with some of the workshops already becoming fully booked.

He said: “It has been great so far and I hope people are taking full advantage of the events on offer.”
